This volume constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Mathematical Methods for Curves and Surfaces, MMCS 2016, held in Tønsberg, Norway, in June 2016. The 17 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 115 submissions. The topics range from mathematical theory to industrial applications.

E. T. Bell, "I grandi matematici"
Italian | ASIN: B0067C1FSQ | ISBN: 8817039640 | 23 agosto 2011 | EPUB | 713 pages | 4.40 MB

Extensions of Rings and Modules by Gary F. Birkenmeier
English | 19 July 2013 | ISBN: 0387927158 | 454 Pages | EPUB | 4.65 MB
The "extensions" of rings and modules have yet to be explored in detail in a research monograph. This book presents state of the art research and also stimulating new and further research. Broken into three parts, Part I begins with basic notions, terminology, definitions and a description of the classes of rings and modules. Part II considers the transference of conditions between a base ring or module and its extensions. And Part III utilizes the concept of a minimal essental extension with respect to a specific class (a hull).
Mathematical interdisciplinary applications appear throughout. Major applications of the ring and module theory to Functional Analysis, especially C*-algebras, appear in Part III, make this book of interest to Algebra and Functional Analysis researchers. Notes and exercises at the end of every chapter, and open problems at the end of all three parts, lend this as an ideal textbook for graduate or advanced undergradate students.

Data Management and Analysis Using JMP: Health Care Case Studies by Jane E Oppenlander
English | 17 Oct. 2017 | ISBN: 1629603856 | ASIN: B076HTNPDZ | 405 Pages | AZW3 | 6.75 MB
A holistic, step-by-step approach to analyzing health care data!
Written for both beginner and intermediate JMP users working in or studying health care, Data Management and Analysis Using JMP: Health Care Case Studies bridges the gap between taking traditional statistics courses and successfully applying statistical analysis in the workplace. Authors Jane Oppenlander and Patricia Schaffer begin by illustrating techniques to prepare data for analysis, followed by presenting effective methods to summarize, visualize, and analyze data. The statistical analysis methods covered in the book are the foundational techniques commonly applied to meet regulatory, operational, budgeting, and research needs in the health care field.
This example-driven book shows practitioners how to solve real-world problems by using an approach that includes problem definition, data management, selecting the appropriate analysis methods, step-by-step JMP instructions, and interpreting statistical results in context. Practical strategies for selecting appropriate statistical methods, remediating data anomalies, and interpreting statistical results in the domain context are emphasized.
The cases presented in Data Management and Analysis Using JMP use multiple statistical methods. A progression of methods–from univariate to multivariate–is employed, illustrating a logical approach to problem-solving. Much of the data used in these cases is open source and drawn from a variety of health care settings. The book offers a welcome guide to working professionals as well as students studying statistics in health care-related fields.

Industrial Mathematics and Complex Systems: Emerging Mathematical Models, Methods and Algorithms By Pammy Manchanda, René Lozi, Abul Hasan Siddiqi
English | PDF,EPUB | 2017 | 358 Pages | ISBN : 9811037574 | 21.72 MB
The book discusses essential topics in industrial and applied mathematics such as image processing with a special focus on medical imaging, biometrics and tomography. Applications of mathematical concepts to areas like national security, homeland security and law enforcement, enterprise and e-government services, personal information and business transactions, and brain-like computers are also highlighted.
These contributions – all prepared by respected academicians, scientists and researchers from across the globe – are based on papers presented at the international conference organized on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of the Indian Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ISIAM) held from 29 to 31 January 2016 at Sharda University, Greater Noida, India. The book will help young scientists and engineers grasp systematic developments in those areas of mathematics that are essential to properly understand challenging contemporary problems.
